Mail Delivery (from GPO)

 

• Same day delivery to Post Boxes at GPO and City.
• Daily Deliveries to Car Park, Gablewoods Sunny Acres, La Clery, Marchand, Leslie Land, Chaussee, Bocage, Grand Riviere (Gros-Islet), Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet, Morne Fortune, Anse La Raye, Canaries, Soufriere, Choiseul, Laborie, Vieux-Fort, Micoud, Dennery, Richond, La Croix Maingot and Hospital Road.
• Thrice weekly to Marisule, Monchy, Balata, Babonneau, Girard, Fond Assau, Ti Rocher, Marigot, Jacmel, Fond St. Jacques, Victoria, Debreiul, Mon Repos, Moreau, Desruisseaux, Aux-Lyon, Gardette, Dennere Riviere, Bexon and Marc.
• Once Weekly to Community Boxes in Garrand and Americ

Philatelic Services

 

• Three (3) types of stamps – definitive and commemorative and revenue. 
• Definitive Stamps depict general themes of  international/regional/national interests.
• Commemorative Stamps depict specific events, symbols or persons of international/regional/national interests.
• A minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) stamps are released per year.
• Revenue stamps are used for the payment of stamp duty.
• Stamps are sold at the counter as postage and are also collectors’ items.
• There is a Philatelic Bureau situated within the GPO.
• Stamp collectors and interested persons are welcome to visit our Philatelic Bureau for more information.

Counter

 

• Issues and accepts money and postal orders.
• Money and Postal orders are cashed immediately with valid ID.
• Provides a fax money order service to the Caribbean Countries of Antigua, Anguilla, Barbados, Guyana and St. Kitts.
• Replenishes franking machines (bulk mailers only)
• Sell Stamps
• Accepts payment for letter boxes.
• Redirection of mail.

Registered Mail

 

• Treated as a high value mail
• Delivered to addressee upon presentation of a registered slip and valid ID.
• Outgoing registered items are coded.
• Sends and receives inquiries.
• Tracking service currently with 8 countries. (A growing service)
